22: Arrive in Iceland and get settled in the Black Pearl hotel in Reykjavik, Iceland. 23: Decorate your Christmas Tree and enjoy a dinner meal of Skate, a type of fish conventionally eaten on this day of the Christmas celebration. 24: Start your Christmas celebrations at 6pm, opening your presents after you eat dinner. 25: Spend the Christmas day with your family enjoying the traditional meal of Hangikjöt (Roast lamb leg), Rjúpa (Sea bird), and Laufabrauð (thin sheets of fried dough cut in intricate patterns) 26: Celebrate the re-opening of public services with a trip to the Blue Lagoon 27: Learn more about Iceland by going to the National Museum of Iceland, then finish your day off with a meal at one of Iceland's top restaurants, Grillmarkadurinn 28: Take a day off from plans and be spontaneous! Take a walk and explore the bustling city of Reykjavik. 29: Take a Midnight Mountain Bath Tour in which you will go on a hike during the night, stopping a several hot springs to swim beneath the stars. 30:Prepare yourself for an exciting New Years and spend the day relaxing with a good book and Netflix. 31: Celebrate New Years Eve by going to the GJ travel party at the Perlan where you can see the fireworks exploding all around you. After the party is over go explore the night clubs of Reykjavik which are sure to be even more exciting than usual. 1: Rest up after your long night with a trip to the Ion Spa. 2: Take a three day tour to the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. 3: Explore the ice caves of Jokulsarlon. 4: Continue your tour with a glacial hike. 5: Take a tour of the Golden Circle where you will see geysers, waterfalls, and many scenic overlooks. 6: Take one more day to simply explore Reykjavik on your own terms before returning home. 7: Pack your stuff up and leave. |
